Paintings, 2019
2019
After completing my 2018 photographic series Heir, I began looking for ways to continue to develop the textural, non-figurative aesthetic which marked that body of work. In early 2019, with a desire to move beyond the medium of photography, I returned to painting for the first time in nearly 15 years.
The following paintings from that year are concerned primarily with texture and mark making, and are presented in reverse chronological order.
